You will hold within your hands a fraction of decades worth of my writings. It was hard for me to decide how to present my works in a meaningful, logical and heartfelt manner. I decided to put in this first book a wide variety of my writings. Some in this book are the start of a theme or series of poems, story poems, prose poems and or short stories. I also made sure it was a mix of my different styles and that they varied in length.
Topics represented in this series of books will be everyday life, satire, nature, philosophy, death, space, illness, metaphysics, history, people both alive and dead, belief systems and sometimes just my thoughts and feelings.
I want you the reader to feel the good, bad, spirit, thoughts, sensations, confusion and clarity I was feeling when I put them in writing for you to read. My desire is for you to both, enjoy and maybe in a small way affect your life in some positive way. In the end, it is you that compels me to share all this with others.

I had to take some time to consider if I wanted to give this book four or five stars, and in the end I ended up giving it a five. I came to the conclusion after looking up what made a poem good. This is obviously something quite subjective, but when I looked at various quotes I had to contemplate my experience reading the book. Did I have a journey? Could I see the poem? Did it make me feel? Was it written well? Etc. And well that is a lot of stuff to contemplate, but in the end I decided for the majority of time reading the book I was feeling something (different things at different times). All that being said, this book provides a variety of forms and themes that compliment and work with one another. I liked how the electronic form was maximized with the use of vivid, thoughtful, and sometimes abstract images. I liked some of the words. For example I was stuck on the word bedeviled. To me it's just an interesting word. There were also moments where I had to consider the ideas being presented in the book. I like that in the poetry I read--the moments when you have to pause and reflect. I did this a few times with the syntax and phrasing of some of the poems. Example: "It's was, is and will be are one." (From first poem). My favorite thing was perhaps the personification of the stars, and the way that personification entangled itself with the themes throughout.
As for the drawbacks some of the poems felt long and more repetitive than they needed to be. I didn't find every single poem relatable or enjoyable. Some of the page breaks could have been better placed. Nonetheless, there was a variety in the reading and I will find myself reading the book for at least a third time (as of the review I read it twice).
