A short, sweet gay romance about finding what you've always wanted...

For I.T. tech Rick, summer means a couple of weeks at the beach with his friends - fun, relaxation, getting away from the rules of everyday life. No complications. And that's fine, because he's still getting over a painful breakup. Then, on a trip to town, he meets a happy-go-lucky golden retriever named Chloe... and her owner, the shy and gorgeous David. Sparks fly, and Rick finds himself falling hard. So hard that he can't forget about David even months later, and when a chance encounter at the local dog park results in David disappearing into the crowd, Rick decides that he'll do anything to track his new love down... even though David's answer was "No."

Looking for a sweet and quick read? Then this is one for you.

Cupid is often pictured as a bit chubby boy with a bow and arrows, but since he belongs to the gods, he can sometimes take on another shape - maybe even one of a dog.

Rick is not looking for someone new, not really, but you know you can find love in the most unexpected places, don't you? Like a shop near the beach. David is both reluctant and willing at the same time. Confusing? Of course. But don't despair, everything will be revealed if you read the whole story.

I enjoyed it, at times chuckling, and I was certainly warm around my heart roots.

Another Dad for Chloe edition by Carol Davis Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

This is a perfect short story for a cozy afternoon read. Two nice guys. One great dog. Well plotted story. A satisfying HEA. I plan to read the others in the series.
Cute read. Though Another Dad for Chloe starts of sloooooowwwww, I'm glad I stuck with it. The MCs are adorable and of course, there's a sweet dog, which was super cute.
This is a short read about a young man recovering from a painful breakup. Rick is still reeling after five months when he goes on vacation to the beach with his friends. He had planned to be with Kyle for his two week vacation, but instead of having fun, he stays inside and reads. Until he goes into town to shop for gifts and is adopted by a sweet Golden Retriever named Chloe. Chloe leads him to the beautiful, shy David, with whom he starts to recover as they enjoy a "vacation affair." Back in the city, Rick cannot forget David, but not until he sees Chloe at the dog park one Saturday does he realize how much he misses David.

I enjoyed this book. Both men were attractive and sympathetic but the dog is the star! If you enjoy non-explicit gay romances, this one is for you.
Rick’s caught in an awkward position he paid in advance for he and his BF’s portion of the beach house that Rick & his friends vacation at every summer. Problem is, Rick no longer has a BF; they broke up 5 months before this story began. So he’s the only single surrounded by couples. He spends the first few days moping around by himself, but when he goes into town to shop, he’s lured into a store by a golden retriever named Chloe. When he meets Chloe’s owner, David, who seems to look interested in Rick, Rick finds himself interested, too. It’s sort of a cute story, but what I had a problem with was David he was supposedly painfully shy, but was willing to jump into bed – initiated, as a matter of fact - with Rick the same day that they met, before even going out to dinner. And ashamed of his job because he thought Rick was a lawyer, so he only wanted a short fling instead of giving Rick a chance at more. So, does he often go around having quick flings with people when he thinks he’s not good enough, and never tries for a relationship at all? Then it turns out that they both live in the same town, so David asks for a change in his job schedule/route just so he can avoid running into Rick and successfully avoids him for 6 months. The whole thing was kind of immature. Avoiding someone that long because you think they’re out of your league, without even giving them an explanation as to why you can't try for more (David's words were "I can't" and "we had fun, can't you just leave it at that?"), and even though that person is trying to get to know you, makes no sense. Without any other background info, David was not a likeable MC for me. I liked Rick, but would’ve liked to know why exactly he & Kyle had broken up.
